The Haile Gold Mine consisted of an open pit mine and gold processing facilities. Pre-stripping of the mine site began in the spring of 2015 with the first ore production around the end of 2016. The average amount of material moved was 63,000 tpd (tons per day). The overall project consisted of mine development, overburden storage areas, surface water management, process facilities, ancillary buildings, infrastructure and a tailing storage facility. However, construction for Eldeco consisted of 5 distinct operations which included: Carbon in Leach, Carbon Handling and Refining, Tailings, Water System, and Reagents.

The mill is now able to put 7,000 tpd of material through production, resulting in an average of 126,700 (troy ounces) of gold annually for the mine’s 14 year life-span. At its peak Eldeco employed 225 individuals working 2 shifts, 7 days a week, 12 hour days.
