What We Delivered
In the spring of 2020, a tornado caused massive damage to the Borg Warner plant in Seneca, SC. Eldeco was proud to be part of the team that helped the plant recover and reopen, with limited production resuming in just three weeks. The entire rebuilding process took sixteen months.
Eldeco designed the electrical systems for the rebuild and installed all components. The electrical scope included the relocation of an existing 3000A substation and the generator for the Life Safety emergency power system, which was also reinstalled and recommissioned. A new 15KV service was installed and all downstream services and process loads were pulled and reconnected. New 250v and 208/120v panel boards and downstream ancillary load connections were also installed. Existing lighting for the manufacturing space was upgraded as part of the project.
Eldeco also assisted with coordination of power outages during construction to minimize impact to manufacturing.
The plant celebrated its grand reopening on September 30, 2021.
