Craig Stephanus Earns His Graduate Safety Practioner® Designation
With 43 years of industry experience under our belt, Eldeco is committed to building a safe workforce. Craig Stephanus, a Safety Coordinator at Eldeco since April 2015, is a prime example of that commitment.
Craig earned his Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Graduate Safety Practitioner® (GSP) designation in December. This designation testifies that Mr. Stephanus has completed a degree program which meets the standards for a Qualified Academic Program (QAP). Indiana University’s Bachelor of Science (B.S.) program in Applied Health Sciences is on the BCSP list of qualified academic programs. Mr. Stephanus earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Applied Health Sciences with an emphasis in Safety Science in 2011, and went on to earn his Masters degree in Applied Health Sciences and Safety Management from Indiana University at Bloomington in 2012.
About the GSP Designation
The GSP designation means that Craig is one step closer to earning the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification. To complete this certification, Mr. Stephanus will need to complete 4 years of safety experience and a CSP examination. He is on the right track toward certification!
About BCSP
BCSP is the industry-wide peer certification board for safety professionals. The sole purpose of the board is to certify practitioners like Craig in best safety practices. BCSP is widely recognized as a leader in “high quality credentialing for safety, health, and environmental practitioners.”
Congratulations, Craig!
In addition to earning his GSP, Mr. Stephanus is a certified Construction Health and Safety Technician and a Safety Trained Supervisor through BCSP. Craig has shown his dedication to our industry through his continual education and skills training. This commitment makes Craig an exemplary employee at Eldeco, where we value safety as the single most important aspect of any construction project.
Congratulations, Craig, for taking Eldeco’s commitment to safety to heart and working hard to earn your safety designation! We are proud to call you one of our own!
