Eldeco Earns Four Awards of Merit
Four recent Eldeco Inc. projects have earned Merit Awards from The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas and Alabama. Designed to showcase the construction industry’s most innovative and high-quality projects, these awards are among the industry’s premier recognitions.
Eldeco’s Charlotte branch earned a merit award for its work on Novant Matthews Women’s Center inMatthews, North Carolina. The project, completed in partnership with Rodgers, added 26,500 square feet to the facility including ten new labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum suites and renovated LED lighting in all patient rooms. Upon completion, the facility passed its final inspection with no issues found.
ABC of the Carolinas also recognized Eldeco’s Greenville branch 
with a merit award for its work on the Bericap project in Cowpens, South Carolina. Eldeco was the electrical contractor for the design and construction of this new, 175,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. In addition to design and construction work, Eldeco is providing ongoing support by supplying up-to-date drawings and monitring the building’s load and electrical requirements.
In addition to the EIC awards earned by our Carolina-based branches, our Birmingham branch earned two merit awards from ABC of Alabama for its work on Liberty Town Center and Lyric Theater. As the electrical contractor for Liberty Town Center, a 280,000 sq. ft. indoor mall, Eldeco worked on an aggressive schedule to install all critical life safety equipment, lighting controls and power consumption software for each retail space.
For the Lyric Theatre, Eldeco completely renovated all old electrical systems and wiring while maintaining the building’s historical accuracy. Eldeco constructed an entirely new electrical system for the theatre with modern lighting, HVAC, sound system, theatrical lighting and modern life safety systems.
