ABC National Craft Championship
Eldeco Inc. had the pleasure of sending a judge and an apprentice to the 2016 National Craft Championship hosted by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
In attendance from Eldeco was Leland Busby- Vice President Birmingham Branch, Butch Clift- Safety Coordinator/Apprentice Instructor Charleston Branch, Buddy Hagans Senior Project Manager Birmingham Branch.
And Michael Busby 4th Year Apprentice Birmingham Branch.
Michael Busby competed in the Commercial –Residential portion of the competition that included 36 competitors from around the country.
The competition involved Written Exam based upon the National Electrical Code, Conduit Bending which required precision measurement’s and conduit management to avoid waste, along with a Practical 
Performance. This exercise was a six hour effort that included complex diversity of commercial and residential wiring tasks with a strong focus on safety. Michael Busby ‘s performance was exceptional. His familiarity with the tasks required of him on a competition level proudly represented Eldeco. He clearly represented our Company Absolutes at the National Craft Competition.
Buddy Hagans represented Eldeco Inc. as an Electrical Judge on the Team Competition that was made up of multiple teams of journeyman craftsmen from different trades.
(Pipe Fitting, Electrical, Insulation, Carpentry and Millwright) that had to work as a team to complete a complex task from each trade and complete within six hours.
