Presbyterian Central Energy Plant Expansion

Construction began in December of 2008 on this $8 million addition and renovation of the Central Energy Plant at Presbyterian Hospital’s Main Campus. We will be creating an equipment branch for the main hospital, which includes major demolition and renovation of all lighting fixtures and the fire alarm. In creating the equipment branch, we will be installing three 2MW generator sets with remote radiators, two 5,000 amp service entrance switchboards, one 10,000 amp paralleling switchboard, nine ATS switches, and the bus duct and feeders for all equipment. When completed, this project will make power available for the hospital to expand its patient care facilities. The project is scheduled for completion in February of 2010.

Center of Arts and Academics Charleston County School District

Charleston, SC

The Center of Arts and Academics broke ground in North Charleston, SC in May of 2008. Construction on this 42.6 acre property will provide the Charleston County School District with approximately 350,000 square feet of both middle and high school classroom buildings along with a shared administration/media center, kitchen, cafeteria, gymnasium, theater, and a central energy plant. The $8.8 million electrical scope includes complete facility/site electrical installation with power distribution from two (2) 6000A padmount secondary termination cabinets, lighting, communication ductbanks, and system raceways. The project is scheduled to be completed in June of 2010.
